We support both direct corporate employer invoicing and third-party voucher schemes across Ireland. Understand the two routes and our transparent fee policy below.
Your employer or company pays Lifty Electric directly by electronic bank transfer (EFT) against an official proforma invoice.
Your company requires you to apply through an external benefits provider such as TravelHub, HubEx, Cyclescheme.ie, or BikeToWork.ie.
We believe in total pricing transparency before you submit an order. Here is exactly how third-party voucher fees work.
Third-party Bike to Work voucher providers (e.g. TravelHub, HubEx, Cyclescheme.ie, BikeToWork.ie) charge retailers processing commissions for redeeming vouchers and certificates. To keep our high workshop standards, nationwide delivery, and dedicated customer service sustainable, a 10% administration supplement applies when an order is funded through these third-party portals.
How to avoid the 10% fee: If your company's HR or payroll department agrees to pay Lifty Electric directly via bank transfer (Option A), the 10% fee is completely waived. We will happily provide direct proforma invoicing for your finance team.

Revolut employees can process Bike to Work orders either via direct finance proforma invoice (0% fee) or through corporate benefit portals such as TravelHub (10% processing supplement). Check with your local Dublin People team for your preferred internal route.
Irish Revenue statutory limits apply across all PAYE staff:
Models exceeding these caps are supported: the statutory limit is salary sacrificed and the excess balance is settled directly.
If you have already claimed the Bike to Work Scheme within the statutory 4-year cycle, or your e-bike was unfortunately stolen before your window renewed, you can still secure fast, economical personal transport. Lifty Electric stocks Irish road-legal electric scooters (under 400W continuous, 20 km/h) starting from just €399. Fully checked in our Capel Street workshop with nationwide delivery across Ireland.
Every electric bike below meets statutory Irish pedelec or cargo specifications. Click any bike to configure your options, calculate savings, and generate your employer-ready PDF quotation.

The tax exemption applies up to specific statutory limits depending on the vehicle type you choose:
You are not restricted to bikes under €1,500. If you choose an e-bike costing more (e.g. €1,849.99 UTO OG16 or €2,499 CUBE Kathmandu), your employer covers the €1,500 statutory cap through salary sacrifice, and the remaining balance is paid directly or handled through your employer's portal policy.
Safety gear bought alongside your bike qualifies within the statutory cap:
Key legal boundaries under Irish Revenue legislation:
Clear, definitive answers on statutory caps, salary sacrifice tax calculations, employer payment routes, and nationwide delivery.
Higher-rate taxpayers (gross salary over €44,000 for a single person in 2026) can save up to 52% on qualifying bikes and safety accessories by combining 40% Income Tax relief, 4.2% PRSI, and applicable USC. Standard-rate taxpayers (20% Income Tax) save approximately 28.5% to 31.5%. The exact saving depends on your personal tax credits and USC band.
Under statutory Irish Revenue guidelines, the tax-exempt caps are:
Qualifying safety equipment (helmets, locks, lights, pumps, mudguards) and nationwide delivery included in the employer invoice count within these limits.
Yes. You are not restricted to sub-€1,500 models. If you choose an e-bike costing more (for example, the UTO OG16 at €1,849.99 or a CUBE Kathmandu at €2,499), your employer funds the €1,500 statutory cap through pre-tax salary sacrifice, and the excess balance is settled through your employer's portal policy or paid directly. Lifty quotations clearly separate the tax-exempt portion and excess balance.
No. For Revenue tax exemption to apply, the employer must purchase the bicycle and equipment through the scheme. A personal purchase followed by employer reimbursement does not qualify for tax relief under Irish law. That is why the process starts with a quotation generated for your employer to approve and pay.
Third-party Bike to Work voucher providers (such as TravelHub, HubEx, Cyclescheme.ie, and BikeToWork.ie) charge retailers processing commissions for redeeming certificates. To sustainably provide Dublin workshop assembly, PDI testing, and nationwide logistics, a transparent 10% processing fee applies when orders are processed through these providers. If your employer pays Lifty Electric directly by bank transfer, the 10% fee is completely waived.
Lifty Electric works with all major Irish platforms, including TravelHub, HubEx, Cyclescheme.ie, BikeToWork.ie, and BenefitHub, as well as direct corporate and public-sector proforma invoicing for the HSE, Civil Service, Dublin City Council, An Post, and private corporate companies.
No. Electric scooters, mopeds, and motorbikes are strictly excluded from Cycle to Work tax relief under Irish Revenue legislation. The scheme applies strictly to qualifying pedal bicycles, pedelec electric bicycles, and cargo bikes.
Yes. You can choose free showroom collection from 157 Capel Street, Dublin 1 (D01 F5P1), where your bike will be fully built, adjusted, and safety-inspected by our Dublin technicians. Alternatively, we provide insured nationwide delivery across Ireland (€69.99, or free on orders €4,000+) directly to your home or office.
Under Section 118(5G) of the Taxes Consolidation Act 1997, you can avail of the Cycle to Work Scheme once every four calendar years. The cycle runs on a tax year basis (January to December), meaning an employee who last availed of the scheme in 2022 is fully eligible again from 1 January 2026.
Yes, provided you are paid as an employee through the PAYE system (such as a proprietary director paying PRSI under Class S through a registered Irish limited company). Sole traders who do not pay themselves through PAYE cannot use the salary sacrifice scheme directly, but can claim the bicycle as an allowable capital expenditure for business use.
You can choose any qualifying e-bike regardless of price. Your employer covers up to the statutory cap (€1,500 for pedelec e-bikes or €3,000 for cargo bikes) tax-free via salary sacrifice, and the excess balance is settled directly or through your company payroll policy.

Important information for riders in the Republic of Ireland.
Upcoming Irish e-scooter safety measures are expected during August 2026. Announced changes include a proposed minimum rider age of 18, mandatory helmet use and high-visibility clothing. Registration, licensing or insurance requirements may also be introduced.
These measures remain proposed until formally enacted. Current requirements remain in force. Government requirements and commencement dates may change; always check current official Irish guidance before riding.
This high-performance scooter exceeds current Irish requirements for public-road use. It must not be used on public roads, cycle lanes, bus lanes, footpaths or other public places in the Republic of Ireland. It is intended only for private property with the landowner’s permission. You are responsible for understanding and following the laws that apply to this vehicle.
Orders delivered to Great Britain may be subject to UK import VAT, customs duty and courier clearance charges. UK import VAT is generally 20%. Depending on origin, classification and customs treatment, additional duty may apply. As a general guide, allow approximately 20%–30% in possible import charges, although the final amount may be lower or higher.
These charges are assessed by UK customs or the carrier and are the buyer’s responsibility. Lifty Electric does not control or guarantee the final amount. Northern Ireland uses different rules and is excluded when a Northern Ireland address is known.
Eligible employees may purchase a new e-bike and approved cycling equipment through their employer and save up to 52%, depending on their tax circumstances. The standard scheme supports eligible purchases up to €1,500; qualifying cargo bikes may be covered up to €3,000.
Employer approval and scheme rules apply. Any amount above the applicable limit must be paid directly to Lifty Electric before collection or delivery.
Not sure which repair or service to choose? Jump to the booking section and select the option that best matches your e-scooter or e-bike. If you are unsure what is wrong, choose the appropriate diagnostic service.
