Every vehicle we sell carries its manufacturer's warranty, and the manufacturer covers claims directly — Lifty is on hand to help you through the process. Here is exactly what is covered, and how a claim works.
WHAT'S COVERED,
WHAT'S NOT.
Lifty Electric is an authorised retailer for premium brands including CUBE, Teverun, Dualtron, InMotion and LeaperKim. Your vehicle is covered by its manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty length differs by brand and component — your exact terms are stated on the product page and in the documentation in your box. Warranty claims are handled directly by the manufacturer; Lifty assists with the process whenever you need us.
- Manufacturing defects in the frame, motor, controller, battery and display
- Premature failure of electronic and drivetrain components under normal use
- Faults identified during the manufacturer's stated warranty period
- Warranty assessment and repair handled directly by the manufacturer
- Free Lifty guidance on preparing your claim — we help you get it right first time
- Wear-and-tear parts: brake pads, tyres, tubes, grips, cables and consumables
- Damage from crashes, drops, water ingress, or improper storage
- Faults caused by unauthorised modification, tuning or third-party repair
- Neglect: failure to follow the manufacturer's service and care instructions
- Commercial or rental use where the manufacturer's terms exclude it
WARRANTY QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED.
HOW DO I START A WARRANTY CLAIM?
Contact the manufacturer directly and request a warranty assessment. Have your order number, the vehicle model and a short description of the fault ready — photos and a video of the issue help them diagnose it faster. If you are unsure who to contact or what your warranty covers, email hello@lifty.co and we will point you to the right brand team and help you prepare the claim. Keep your original box until you are sure everything is right: it is the safest way to send a vehicle back if an assessment requires it.
HOW LONG IS MY WARRANTY?
Warranty length is set by the manufacturer and differs by brand and component — for example the frame, motor and battery often carry different periods. The exact terms for your vehicle are stated on its product page and in the documentation in the box. If you are unsure, contact us with your order number and we will confirm exactly what applies to your vehicle.
DO I NEED TO SEND MY VEHICLE SOMEWHERE FOR ASSESSMENT?
If the manufacturer asks for a physical assessment and you are in Ireland, you send the item to our Dublin warehouse ( contact us for return address ) — we receive it on their behalf and pass it to their assessment process. Shipping to us is arranged and paid by the customer, so pack the vehicle carefully in its original box where possible. For customers outside Ireland — including the UK, USA, Canada, Switzerland, Norway and all other overseas destinations — cross-border customs make returning a vehicle impractical, so warranty claims are handled as a parts-only service: the manufacturer ships the replacement part to you to fit yourself or with a local technician. Many faults can also be diagnosed remotely, so always ask us before sending anything.
WHO ACTUALLY COVERS MY WARRANTY CLAIM?
The manufacturer. Your warranty is provided and fulfilled by the brand that built your vehicle — they assess the fault and supply the repair or replacement under their own terms. Lifty's role is to support you: confirming what your warranty documentation says, helping you reach the right brand team, and answering any question at any step of the process. If anything is unclear, just ask.
WHAT IF MY FAULT ISN'T A WARRANTY ISSUE?
If the manufacturer's assessment shows the fault is wear-and-tear, accidental damage or outside their warranty terms, they will tell you what is needed and quote for any repair — you decide whether to go ahead. We are happy to give a second opinion or help you understand their findings. See our Shop Policies page for returns and refunds, which are handled separately from warranty claims.
SOMETHING NOT
QUITE RIGHT?
Your warranty is with the manufacturer — but you never have to navigate it alone. Ask us anything about your claim, the process, or what your documentation says, and our team will help you through it.
