ENGWE N1 Pro Electric Bike
The ENGWE N1 Pro is a carbon-frame city electric bike with an Ananda mid-drive motor and torque-sensing assistance. Its 700C wheels, hydraulic brakes and removable battery suit riders who want a conventional commuter feel with a little more help on the hills. A smarter way to arrive—and a good excuse to retire the traffic-jam playlist.
Why choose this e-bike?
- 80 Nm mid-drive assistance responds to your pedalling.
- A carbon frame keeps the published bike weight to 19 kg.
- The removable 360 Wh battery supports charging away from the bike.
The Lifty take
For city commuting and everyday journeys when you want full-size wheels and a lighter bike than many fat-tyre models. The high top tube makes checking standover clearance and fit especially important.

02 KEY SPECIFICATIONS & NUMBERS
01 MOTOR WATTAGE & POWERTRAIN (250W EPAC) 250W High-Torque Brushless Hub Motor (55Nm Torque)
Strict 250W continuous nominal power rating compliant with EN 15194 European and Irish EPAC regulations. Electric motor assistance disengages automatically at 25 km/h. Fitted with sensitive pedalling cadence or bilateral torque sensors for smooth, natural power assist without sudden jerking.
100% legal on all cycle lanes, bus corridors, and streets across Dublin and Ireland. Zero road tax, zero registration, and no driving licence required.
02 HILL-CLIMBING TORQUE (NM) 55 Nm (Commuter Hill Assist)
Torque describes motor turning force. Hill-climbing performance also depends on motor design, assistance settings, gradient, gearing, total load and rider input.
Compare the model-specific torque information with your route and total load. A torque figure alone does not guarantee performance on a particular hill or at a junction.
03 BATTERY PACK & CELLS (V, AH, WH) 48V 13Ah (624Wh) Key-Locking Removable Lithium-ion
Battery protection features and certifications are model-specific. Check the documentation for the exact battery system; voltage and capacity alone do not establish safety certification.
Battery removal and charging arrangements vary by model. Check the exact model specification and owner manual before purchase.
04 RANGE BENCHMARKS (ECO VS DUBLIN COMMUTE) 75–110 km (Eco) / 50–70 km (Dublin)
Tested on flat tarmac with a 65 kg rider, minimal wind resistance, continuous gentle pedalling, and warm ambient temperature.
Verified for Irish conditions: coastal headwinds across Dublin Bay, frequent traffic light stops, winter temperatures (4–8°C), and normal luggage.
05 CHARGING SYSTEM & DURATION 5.5–6.5 Hours (54.6V / 58.8V Smart Protection Charger)
Regulated CC/CV smart charger with auto-shutoff once full capacity is achieved. Protects cell chemistry and maintains pack longevity over hundreds of charge cycles.
Plug in under your desk at work or overnight at home. Electricity cost to charge from 0% to 100% in Ireland is approximately €0.30–€0.45 per full cycle.
06 FRAME GEOMETRY & RIDER SIZING Adjustable Sizing (Universal Fit for 155–195cm)
Ergonomic rider geometry balancing agile urban steering with high-speed tracking stability over road irregularities, tram lines, and wet asphalt.
07 VEHICLE WEIGHT & SYSTEM PAYLOAD 24.5 kg // 150 kg Safe Carrying Capacity
Engineered strength-to-weight ratio ensuring frame stiffness under load while maintaining manageable weight for apartment living, car racks, or hallway parking.
08 BRAKING SYSTEM & ROTORS Hydraulic Disc Brakes (180mm Rotors with Motor Cut-Off)
High-performance disc calipers with heat-dissipating rotors and integrated motor cut-off sensors. Instant, progressive stopping power regardless of rain or road grime.
Fade-free wet-weather braking when stopping down steep slopes or reacting to unexpected Dublin traffic in wet autumn and winter conditions.
09 DRIVETRAIN & TRANSMISSION Shimano 7-Speed Drivetrain with KMC Rust-Resistant Chain
Calibrated gear ratios matching optimal pedalling cadence with motor torque output. Smooth shifting under pedalling load and long-wearing mechanical components.
All drivetrain components are inspected, tuned, and torqued to manufacturer specifications prior to customer delivery by our workshop at 157 Capel Street.
10 WEATHERPROOFING & IP RATINGS IP54 (Protected Against Heavy Splashes & Wet Road Spray)
Protected against road spray, light showers, and dust. Sealed cable entries and weather-resistant controller compartments.
For torrential Irish winter downpours, choose our Lifty Labs Stage 2 IPX6 Japanese Super Sealant Weatherproofing service (€199) applied at 157 Capel Street, Dublin 1.
