Yes. Walk-in intake is available Tuesday to Friday (13:00–17:00) and Saturday (12:00–17:00) at 157 Capel Street. We handle repairs on a first-come queue. For popular models (Xiaomi and Ninebot), we usually complete tube replacements in about 45 to 60 minutes.
No. Lifty Labs repair services operate strictly via 100% in-person customer drop-off at 157 Capel Street, Dublin 1. We do not accept courier, postal, or send-in intake, and we do not offer vehicle collection or return delivery.
Pneumatic (air-filled) tyres offer superior ride cushion, grip, and comfort over cobblestones and tram lines. However, Dublin city commuters who frequently ride past glass or debris often prefer honeycomb solid tyres because they provide 100% peace of mind against punctures with zero air maintenance required.
Over 70% of e-scooter punctures are caused by pinch flats (low tyre pressure) rather than external punctures. Riding at 20–30 PSI instead of the recommended 45–50 PSI allows the tube to get crushed against the wheel rim when hitting curbs or potholes. At Lifty Labs, our technicians inspect rim walls and de-burr metal edges to prevent repeat flats.
No. Continuing to ride on a deflated tyre can permanently warp the aluminium rim, crack the bead, or shred the motor hub wiring, turning a simple €59.99 tube replacement into a €150+ motor replacement. Please wheel the scooter or bring it on public transit.
All workshop labour and replacement parts are guaranteed against defects in fitting and workmanship. Because roadside puncture hazards (glass, nails) cannot be controlled after collection, we also offer anti-puncture sealant injections and solid tyre conversion for permanent defence.

Upcoming Irish e-scooter safety measures are expected during August 2026. Announced changes include a proposed minimum rider age of 18, mandatory helmet use and high-visibility clothing. Registration, licensing or insurance requirements may also be introduced.
These measures remain proposed until formally enacted. Current requirements remain in force. Government requirements and commencement dates may change; always check current official Irish guidance before riding.
This high-performance scooter exceeds current Irish requirements for public-road use. It must not be used on public roads, cycle lanes, bus lanes, footpaths or other public places in the Republic of Ireland. It is intended only for private property with the landowner’s permission. You are responsible for understanding and following the laws that apply to this vehicle.
Orders delivered to Great Britain may be subject to UK import VAT, customs duty and courier clearance charges. UK import VAT is generally 20%. Depending on origin, classification and customs treatment, additional duty may apply. As a general guide, allow approximately 20%–30% in possible import charges, although the final amount may be lower or higher.
These charges are assessed by UK customs or the carrier and are the buyer’s responsibility. Lifty Electric does not control or guarantee the final amount. Northern Ireland uses different rules and is excluded when a Northern Ireland address is known.
Eligible employees may purchase a new e-bike and approved cycling equipment through their employer and save up to 52%, depending on their tax circumstances. The standard scheme supports eligible purchases up to €1,500; qualifying cargo bikes may be covered up to €3,000.
Employer approval and scheme rules apply. Any amount above the applicable limit must be paid directly to Lifty Electric before collection or delivery.
