All diagnostic, repair, and upgrade work takes place strictly at 157 Capel Street, Dublin 1 (D01 F5P1). Customers must bring their complete vehicle to the workshop. Lifty Labs does not offer courier collection, postal intake, or return shipping. Intake hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday 13:00–16:30 (closed on other days).
For workshop safety, Lifty Labs provides professional battery diagnostic health testing, connector replacements, and authentic OEM factory pack replacements only. We strictly do not offer battery cell repacking, cell rebuilding, or spot-welding modifications. Swollen, cracked, or wet batteries will not be charged.
Standard turnaround time is 2–3 working days from drop-off. Common puncture repairs and express tyre replacements are prioritized for same-day completion when bench capacity allows. We strongly recommend booking online before visiting to reserve your bench slot.

Personal light electric vehicles (e-scooters, e-bikes, and e-mobility systems) operate under demanding mechanical stress and high electrical currents. Please review the following mandatory technical terms, risks, and liability limitations prior to booking or undertaking any workshop repair, diagnostic service, or component installation.
Vehicles presented for repair or assessment frequently have concealed collision history, frame fatigue, hairline stress fractures, stripped factory threads, or water ingress not readily detectable upon visual intake. Lifty Labs and its technicians accept zero liability for pre-existing structural flaws, seized or corroded fasteners, or secondary component failures revealed during diagnostic inspection, standard disassembly, or subsequent road testing.
Lithium-ion battery packs (36V to 72V+) carry inherent risks of thermal runaway, internal short-circuiting, and chemical fire. Lifty Labs performs diagnostic health scans, exterior terminal repairs, and genuine OEM pack replacements only. In strict accordance with workshop fire safety standards, Lifty Labs strictly does not perform battery cell repacking, cell rebuilding, or internal spot-welding modifications. Any customer using unauthorized third-party fast chargers, modified wiring harnesses, or bypassed BMS systems assumes 100% personal liability for resulting thermal damage or fire.
Installing custom firmware (CFW), removing factory speed limiters, modifying P-settings, or fitting non-OEM high-amp controllers forces motors, batteries, and wiring looms to operate outside certified engineering tolerances. Lifty Electric accepts no liability for blown controller MOSFETs, melted motor phase connectors, BMS shutdowns, or component fires caused by modified vehicle electronics. Lifty Labs does not support or warrant vehicles modified to exceed statutory speed caps.
Due to harsh road surface vibrations across Dublin, the vehicle owner is legally required to conduct a thorough pre-ride inspection before every trip. This includes verifying tyre pressures (cold PSI), tightening folding stem latches and wheel axle nuts, testing front and rear mechanical/hydraulic brake bite, and checking throttle return springs. Safe riding habits, helmet wearing, and strict compliance with the Irish Road Traffic (Electric Scooters and E-Bikes) Regulations 2024 remain the exclusive legal responsibility of the operator.
To ensure zero delays and immediate bench allocation, all workshop visits at 157 Capel Street must be scheduled in advance.

New Irish e-scooter rules are now in force. Helmets and high-visibility clothing have been mandatory since 4 September 2026, and the minimum rider age has been 18 since 2 October 2026. Detention fees of €80 (first day) and €30 per extra day apply. Registration, licensing or insurance may follow.

This high-performance scooter exceeds current Irish requirements for public-road use. It must not be used on public roads, cycle lanes, bus lanes, footpaths or other public places in the Republic of Ireland. It is intended only for private property with the landowner’s permission. You are responsible for understanding and following the laws that apply to this vehicle.
Orders delivered to Great Britain may be subject to UK import VAT, customs duty and courier clearance charges. UK import VAT is generally 20%. Depending on origin, classification and customs treatment, additional duty may apply. As a general guide, allow approximately 20%–30% in possible import charges, although the final amount may be lower or higher.
These charges are assessed by UK customs or the carrier and are the buyer’s responsibility. Lifty Electric does not control or guarantee the final amount. Northern Ireland uses different rules and is excluded when a Northern Ireland address is known.
Eligible employees may purchase a new e-bike and approved cycling equipment through their employer and save up to 52%, depending on their tax circumstances. The standard scheme supports eligible purchases up to €1,500; qualifying cargo bikes may be covered up to €3,000.
Employer approval and scheme rules apply. Any amount above the applicable limit must be paid directly to Lifty Electric before collection or delivery.
