Looking to upgrade your daily commute in Cork? Lifty Electric is Ireland’s leading Bike to Work supplier and preferred partner of Travel Hub, delivering premium electric bikes directly across Cork City and County within 1–2 working days.
How the Bike to Work Scheme Works in Cork
Under the Irish Government’s Cycle to Work Scheme, employees in Cork can purchase a brand new electric bike and cycling safety accessories completely tax-free through employer salary sacrifice. Higher-rate tax payers save up to 52% on the cost, while standard-rate payers save up to 31%.
- Standard E-Bikes: Up to €1,500 tax-free allowance.
- Cargo E-Bikes: Up to €3,000 tax-free allowance for family or commercial transport.
- Cycling Accessories: Helmets, heavy-duty locks, lights, and panniers qualify under the scheme.
Conquer Cork’s Hills with Bosch Mid-Drive Power
From Patrick’s Hill and Montenotte to Wellington Road and Silversprings, Cork features some of the steepest urban cycling gradients in Ireland. Hub-drive e-bikes often struggle on these inclines, but our German-engineered CUBE Kathmandu and Reaction Hybrid models feature Bosch mid-drive motors producing up to 85 Nm of torque, flattening Cork's hills with smooth, natural pedal assistance.
Popular Cork Commuter Corridors
Lifty Electric e-bikes are built for Cork’s daily commuter routes:
- City Centre to Apple Holyhill: Power up the Northside without breaking a sweat.
- Mahon Point & City Gate Tech Hubs: Bypass South Ring Road traffic gridlock on dedicated greenways.
- Ballincollig, Carrigaline & Midleton Commuters: Fast, economical suburban transit into the city centre.
- UCC & MTU Campuses: Dependable, car-free transit for university staff and healthcare workers.
