1. Irish Bike to Work Scheme

How much can I save through the Bike to Work Scheme in Ireland?

Eligible employees save up to 52% on e-bikes and cycling safety gear through salary sacrifice (up to 31% for standard rate taxpayers). Statutory limits are €1,500 for standard electric bikes and €3,000 for cargo bikes.

Which models qualify?

Pedal-assist e-bikes (250W continuous motor, 25 km/h assist limit) priced at €1,000 or above qualify. Sub-€1,000 e-bikes and all electric scooters are strictly excluded under Revenue rules.

2. Lifty Labs Workshop & Repairs

Do you offer repairs outside Dublin?

Customers outside Dublin are welcome to use Lifty Labs, but all repair products must be brought to our workshop at 157 Capel Street, Dublin 1. We do not offer repair collection, pickup, courier intake, postal intake or mobile repair services.

What services do you offer?

Our workshop performs motor diagnostics, IPX7 marine waterproofing upgrades, Magura MT5e hydraulic brake conversions, battery health testing and rebuilds, self-healing tyre installations, and complete annual safety overhauls.

3. Irish Micromobility Regulations

What are the legal limits for electric scooters in Ireland?

Under Irish law, road-legal electric scooters must have a maximum continuous motor power of 400W, a maximum design speed of 20 km/h, and a maximum unladen weight of 25 kg. Riders must be at least 16 years old.

Can I ride on footpaths?

No. Riding on footpaths or in pedestrian zones is illegal and subject to fixed charge fines. Scooters must use cycle tracks or public roads with speed limits of 50 km/h or less.

4. Orders, Delivery & Sizing

How fast is nationwide delivery?

In-stock vehicles and parts are dispatched via tracked couriers with delivery across Ireland in 1–2 working days. Every vehicle undergoes full multi-point Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) before shipping.

Can I test ride a bike or scooter at the showroom?

To preserve vehicle safety and showroom standards, test rides are not available. Our technicians provide detailed in-person sizing consultations, cockpit adjustments, and weight balance assessments instead.

5. Payment & Financing

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Klarna Pay in 3, Humm financing up to €15,000, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut Pay, and direct bank transfer. Note: Lifty Electric does not accept PayPal.
